Daggerfall Unity requires a free copy of the original Daggerfall game to run. This provides all necessary assets such as textures, 3D models, and sound effects.

You can get a copy of the original Daggerfall for free from Steam or GOG. Daggerfall Unity will ask for the location of your original Daggerfall game on first startup and then take care of everything else.
